Colicchio & Sons

"Tom Colicchio's new restaurant in the evacuated husk of his Craftsteak restaurant (They Shoot Two-Star Restaurants, Don't They?), serving "composed dishes" and including a curious Halfsteak bar room with some charchuterie meats, pizza, and a raw bar. Colicchio & Sons is the namesake chef's return to the kitchen, cooking up two menus with a round dozen appetizers and a few more entrees, ranging from spice-roasted lobster with artichokes to veal breast with tripe. A tasting menu is also available in the Dining Room, while the Tap Room offers menus for both lunch and dinner."

EDITORS TIPS

The Extras: A private room can be reserved for larger parties. Call for details.

What to Drink: The wine list will please the connoisseur, but mix things up and pair draft beer with your steak. The local Sixpoint Grand Crue or Smutty Nose IPA stand up to the rich flavors and high-end cuts.

Know Before You Go: Vegetarians can create a hearty meal from fresh salads, a lovely al dente risotto, various potato sides, and those greenmarket vegetables.
